Making money does not have to be dull and boring. You can have fun and make money at the same time! I know. By now you think I am really crazy, but I can guarantee you, I am not. The only difference is each person's perception of fun. I love accounting and could sit and play with numbers all day long and be quite content. OK, I make the crafts and they are my test subjects. If they do not tear it up within the first 5 minutes, it is durable and can withstand almost anything. Again, crafts are not for everyone and even I tire of them after a while. I usually find myself hopping from one project to the next, trying to keep from being repetitious and dull.
Find something you enjoy doing. Writing, talking, math, building, cooking, or sewing. Then do some research. Look for ways that others are using these skills to turn a profit. Be creative and see where it leads you. I would not quit your day-job right off the bat, but you never know what it could lead to. You could be self-employed and doing what you love in no time! The main thing to remember is, do not get frustrated. There are only a select few people in this world that have ever started a project and have it be an overnight success.
Determination is key. Tell yourself you want to have fun and make money at the same time. It is possible! Setbacks will happen and the first few months will be slow going. Do not stop trying! The old saying is true, practice makes perfect. If one path does not work, try another one. If you have a bump in the road, smooth it out and start again. Support is very critical as well. You need a cheerleader-type person to keep you motivated and to be on your side. If every voice you hear is negative, you are going to get down and discouraged. One voice telling you that it is possible and you can do it makes a huge amount of difference.
